On August 30th, at the Boca Resto, Boca Raton, the students and instructors gave a live performance to benefit the Child Safety Educational Program. Ryan Shealy, former major league baseball player, was on hand to support A Child Is Missing. He is a former UF and Cardinal Gibbons Alumni. Sponsor, Ducerus (Total College Solutions) and Board President J. Jay Greene was the chair for the successful event.
This summer there were 150, one hour sessions taught in fifty-eight locations in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin County, Indian River County, Fort Myers, and Sarasota. The teachers are Florida-certified and come back every year, because they really enjoy the opportunity to help kids.
The HIGH RISK YOUTH program is being taught to youth that are court appointed and various 6thgraders in schools year round. Preparing kids with important safety information is the preventative way to keep them safe.
School of Rock introduces teamwork and collaboration into music instruction by grouping them with other kids to put on real rock shows at real music venues. Students learn harmonies, musicianship and how to perform in an authentic rock show environment.
Each season, students hone their skills by learning some of the greatest songs in Rock 'n' Roll history. The program culminates with a real performance in a local music venue, where students get to jam on stage with their classmates.
